Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Lendmira receives, why we receive it and who else sees it, including the lenders and loan brokers who receive a rate request. It also explains your choices and how to reach us.

Who we are and what this policy covers
Lendmira is an independent educational website about US consumer loans, available at https://lendmira.com. In this policy, “Lendmira,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean the operator of that site. “You” means anyone who visits the site, uses its calculators, sends one of its forms or reads our emails.
The policy covers the website, its six calculators, its three forms (“Check your rate,” contact and newsletter) and the emails we send. It does not cover the websites, apps, calls or emails of lenders, loan brokers or anyone else, even when we link to them or pass them your request. Those companies follow their own privacy notices.
Lendmira is not a lender. We do not make credit decisions, we do not check your credit, and we do not ask for your Social Security number, date of birth, income, bank account or login details.
What we collect
We collect only what you type into a form, a few technical details that come with every form, and a short record when you open our site from one of our emails.
Check your rate
When you send a rate request, we receive:
- the loan amount and what the loan is for;
- the credit range you pick (for example, “Good (670–739)” or “Not sure”). This is your own estimate. We do not look up your credit score or credit report;
- your ZIP code, and the state we look up from it;
- your first name, last name, email address and phone number;
- if you started from a Lendmira calculator, the monthly payment, APR and term it showed you;
- a consent record: that you checked the consent box, the version of the consent wording shown to you and the date and time.
Contact form
When you write to us, we receive your name, your email address, the topic you picked and your message.
Newsletter
When you subscribe, we receive your name, your email address, a record that you agreed to receive our emails and the version of the sign-up wording shown to you.
Details sent with every form
Each form also sends the date and time it reached us, your IP address and the address of the page you sent it from, as your browser reports it. We use these details to keep consent records, to spot spam and fraud, and to fix problems.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. To do that, Cloudflare reads technical signals from your browser and connection, such as your IP address and browser type. Cloudflare says it uses these signals to detect and block bots, not to identify or profile you. Its Turnstile privacy addendum has the details.
Visits from our emails
Links in our emails may end with a short campaign code after a # sign. When you open such a link, a small script on our page reads the code, removes it from the address bar and sends a note to our own /collect address that the page was opened from that email. Our server adds your IP address and browser type to the note and forwards it to the service we use to send our emails, so we can see which emails are useful. No cookie is set, and nothing is recorded when you visit a page without a campaign code.
What stays in your browser
The calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter are not sent to us, unless you choose to continue from a calculator to the rate check, in which case the payment, APR and term go with your request as described above.
When you close the cookie notice, your browser stores that choice so the notice does not come back on every page. That value never leaves your device.
We do not use analytics tools, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or session recording, and we do not sell or share information about the pages you browse.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- pass your rate request to lenders and loan brokers working with Lendmira, so they can contact you about loan options;
- answer your messages;
- send the newsletter to subscribers;
- keep records showing that you asked to be contacted, and produce them if that is ever questioned;
- protect our forms and the site against spam, fraud and abuse;
- see which of our emails people open, so we can improve them;
- meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests and enforce our Terms of use.
We do not use your information to make, or help make, a decision about your credit. Lenders make their own decisions.
Who receives your information
Lenders and loan brokers
When you submit a rate request and check the consent box, we pass the details of that request, including your consent record, to one or more lenders or loan brokers working with Lendmira. They may contact you by phone, text message and email about your request. A loan broker may share your request with lenders it works with.
These companies pay us for rate requests. How we make money explains that arrangement.
Once a lender or broker receives your request, its own privacy notice governs how it uses your information. It may ask you for more details, such as your income or Social Security number, and it may check your credit before making an offer. Read its privacy notice and terms before you apply. You can email us to ask which companies received your request.
We do not pass contact messages or newsletter sign-ups to lenders or brokers.
Service providers
We use a small number of companies to run the site, and they handle personal information only to provide their service to us:
- Cloudflare hosts the site, protects it from attacks and runs Turnstile on our forms;
- Web3Forms delivers form submissions to our inbox by email;
- our email providers hold our inbox and send our emails.
Legal reasons and business changes
We may disclose information when the law requires it, to respond to a subpoena or court order, to protect the rights, safety or property of Lendmira, our visitors or others, or to investigate fraud. If Lendmira or the site is sold or merged, information may pass to the new owner, who must handle information collected under this policy as this policy describes.
Calls, texts and emails about a rate request
The rate check asks for your consent before you submit it. By checking the box, you agree that Lendmira and lenders and loan brokers working with Lendmira may contact you about your request by phone call, text message and email at the number and address you entered, including calls and texts made with automated technology.
Your consent is not a condition of getting a loan or buying anything. Message and data rates may apply. Your consent lets these companies contact you about your request even if your number is on the National Do Not Call Registry, until you withdraw it. You can withdraw it at any time, in any reasonable way. Your privacy choices lists the quickest ones.
Your privacy choices
This section explains how to stop contact, how to opt out of the passing of a rate request, and how to see, correct or delete what we hold. To make any request, email contact@lendmira.com or write to the address at the end of this section. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Stop calls, texts and emails
- Texts: reply STOP to any text message.
- Calls: tell the caller you do not want to be called again. The company must put your number on its own do-not-call list.
- Everything about a rate request: email us with the subject line “Stop contact” and the phone number and email address you used. We will stop passing that request on and tell the lenders and brokers that received it that you withdrew your consent. To make sure, you can also tell each company directly.
- Newsletter: click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any issue, or email us.
You can also add your number to the National Do Not Call Registry. It limits sales calls from companies you have not asked to hear from.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of a rate request
Because lenders and brokers pay us for rate requests, passing your request to them may count as a “sale” of personal information under California law and the laws of several other states. We pass a request only when you submit it and check the consent box.
- Before you submit: you do not have to use the rate check. The articles and calculators work without it.
- After you submit: email us with the subject line “Do not sell or share my information.” We will not pass that request, or any future request from you, to any more companies, and we will tell the companies that already received it about your opt-out.
Lendmira does not sell or share browsing information, so a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser does not change how the site works. A rate request goes to lenders only because you ask for it in the form; to stop that, use the steps above.
See, correct or delete your information
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you, where it came from and whom we gave it to, and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- opt out of its sale or sharing;
- opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. We do neither.
Email us with the subject line “Privacy request” and tell us what you want. To protect you, we match your request to our records using details such as the email address or phone number you used, and we may ask a follow-up question. Someone you authorize may make a request for you if they show your signed permission, and we may still confirm your identity with you. We answer within the time your state’s law allows, generally 45 days.
If we delete your information, we may keep a minimal record that you made the request, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep. Deleting your information from our records does not delete it from the records of a lender or broker that already received your request. Ask that company as well.
If we turn down your request, reply to our answer with the subject line “Privacy appeal” and we will look at it again. If you disagree with the result of the appeal, you can contact your state’s attorney general.
California residents
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives California residents the rights listed above. It also asks us to describe our practices over the past 12 months:
- Categories collected: identifiers (name, email address, phone number, IP address); approximate location (ZIP code and state); financial details you choose to give (loan amount, loan purpose and your estimate of your credit range); and internet activity (the page a form was sent from, and visits from our emails).
- Sources: you, your browser and our service providers.
- Purposes: those listed in How we use information.
- Sold or shared: identifiers, approximate location and the financial details in a rate request go to lenders and loan brokers when you submit the rate check.
- Disclosed for business purposes: any category may go to our service providers for the purposes above.
- Sensitive personal information: we do not collect it, and we do not use any information to infer things about you.
- Retention: see How long we keep information.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents may also ask once a year which third parties received their personal information for direct marketing in the previous year. Use the same email address.
Residents of other states
Many other states, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Oregon and Texas, have their own consumer privacy laws with similar rights. Nevada residents can ask us not to sell their information. Wherever you live, use the same email routes to make a request or an appeal, and we will apply the rights your state gives you.
Federal financial privacy law and lenders’ notices
The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act sets privacy rules for financial companies. Whether or not it applies to a given request, we treat the details you give us to connect with lenders as financial information: we use and share them only as this policy describes and protect them as described below. Each lender or broker that contacts you is responsible for its own handling of your information and must give you its own privacy notice. Some state privacy rights do not apply to information covered by federal financial privacy law. If that affects a request you make, we will tell you in our answer.
Children
Lendmira is meant for adults and is not directed to children. The rate check is only for people 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not knowingly sell or share information about anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. These are our standard periods:
- Rate requests and their consent records: five years from the date of the request, so that the consent can be shown if a call or text is ever questioned.
- Contact messages: two years from your last message.
- Newsletter subscriptions: while you stay subscribed, plus a record of your unsubscribe request so we do not email you again.
- Email visit records: while you stay on our email list.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it or when we need it to resolve a dispute. Cloudflare and our other service providers keep technical logs under their own policies.
How we protect information
The site is served only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and form data travels encrypted to our service providers. Only the people who need to handle form submissions can read them, and we never ask for passwords, account numbers or Social Security numbers. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

When we change this policy, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we share information you already gave us, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.
